Gym & Health Suite

We believe in making the joining process as easy as possible.
To join simply click here to select your membership option and follow the sign up process, it’ll only take a few minutes.

Once you’ve selected your membership and completed the sign up process you’ll automatically receive an e-mail with further information on what happens next.

No contract means that you are not contractually tied to us for a set period of time.

We offer an annual 12-month membership option, this option dies tie you into the contract for 12 months. However, the monthly fees are lower than a non-contract option.

Yes, an induction is required and this is free of charge unless you are a pay as you go customer in which case the induction is £10.

If you have been a member before and you have visited in the last 6 months then you do not need to have another induction if you choose a new membership plan or are returning after a break.

Please book an induction with our reception team once you have singed up to a membership.

Lordswood Leisure App:
Allows you access to the gym, book fitness classes and manage your membership.

eGym App:
Allows you to track your fitness and workouts, compete in challenges and sync your fitness data so that a trainer can help you with your fitness journey.

Fitness classes can be booked on our app, via our website or by calling or visiting the centre. Click here to book a fitness class.

If you cannot attend a fitness class, please cancel your booking, this allows people on the waiting list the opportunity to attend.

If a member fails to show for three classes without notice then their booking privileges will be revoked.

Our membership options start from age 11 years.

Junior members are only allowed access at set times.

All junior members require an adult over the age of 18 to complete their paperwork.

Junior members are allowed to use our Cardiovascular equipment but are not permitted in the weights area or health suite.

We operate a strict policy on weight training, If juniors are caught using the equipment, we reserve the right to terminate their membership.

The majority of our gym staff are personal trainers and they can be booked for one-to-one session for an additional fee.

Please ask a member of the gym team for further information of how to book a session.

Yes, we offer guest pass for non-members to try the facilities for £6.50 per day. You must be accompanied by another member to use this option.

It will be sad to see you go. Our flexible contracts allow you to leave and re-join whenever you like.

If you pay by direct debit, you can cancel your direct debit with your bank. Please also let us know that you are cancelling so that we can remove the membership plan from your account to ensure that you do not receive any payment remidners.
Please note that you must cancel five days before your next payment period otherwise, your monthly fees may still be taken for that period.

If you pay an annual fee your contract will automatically lapse at the end of the contractual period.

We allow members to freeze their membership for health-related reasons.

Please email help@lordswood-leisure.co.uk to request a membership freeze and a member of staff will discuss the options available to you.

We recommend that you wear loose, comfortable clothing, e.g tracksuit, shirts and trainers.

We do not allow jeans, boots and bare feet. If you are seen wearing inappropriate gym attire, you’ll may be asked to leave.

For hygiene reasons we kindly ask you to continue cleaning the equipment after use.
This is not compulsory but strongly advised and will only be better for all people who use the equipment.

All members are required to upload their picture on their personal profile for security reasons, you can choose your own photo in our app or via the online system.

You can change your photo up to 4 times per month.

We have lockers in both our changing rooms. Lockers require a £1 coin to operate, the coin is returned when you re-open the locker.

Functions & Events

Unfortunately not.

We only have functions for ages 18+.

Yes, there are some extra requirements for 18th Birthday Parties.

All 18th Birthday parties will require:
– Security (Which we supply at a cost of £140, you cannot supply your own security).
– A full guest list
– The function to finish at 11.30pm

All guests will be ID checked and a wristband given if they are over 18, they will be able to use these at the bar to purchase alcohol. Further checks may be carried out by the bar staff when ordering.

We highly recommend Kent Discos as our preferred entertainment supplier.

We also recommend Song N Dance and South Sound.

You are welcome to hire your own DJ however they must have:
– A minimum of £10m PLI
– PAT testing certification.

This must be e-mailed to our team at least 28 days before your function.

The same rule for PLI and PAT testing applies for any electrical equipment that comes into the centre for your function / event such as light up letters, photobooths, dancefloors etc.

Yes, please let us know your requirements in advance (ideally within 28 days of your function/event) and our team will ensure the tables and chairs in your room are setup for when you arrive.

As standard, tables and chairs are not covered, you can supply your own table and chair coverings or we can provide table and chair covering options at a cost.

Evening only functions have access to the rooms from 5pm.

Access times for Weddings and larger events will vary, please discuss with your event manager at your meeting.

We kindly ask that you and your guests leave within 30 minutes of the bar closing or the scheduled event end time.

Tables and chairs are packed away by staff.

Please make sure that you have taken everything that you have supplied, you can fill out a disclaimer at the end of the function and we will hold your items until the next morning. If a disclaimer is not signed, the items will be disposed of.

If your items are not collected then they will be disposed of.

Any items left must be collected by 10am the following day.

Your items will be moved out of the room to another area by our staff at the end of the night, all items left and moved are at the risk of the hirer.

No, with your own food you are responsible for managing your own buffet and laying out.

The centre does not supply any cutlery, plates or table cloths (unless hired/purchased from Lordswood Leisure Centre) to go with your own buffet.

All items must be provided by the hirer.

Yes, we have a few chilled areas to store your food.

You can drop your food off at any time from 10am on the day of your function or event. Please call ahead to let us know when you are coming.

We do have a kitchen available for hire however it is not included in your normal hire fee.

Kitchen hire is only available for bookings in the Grand Quee Suite.

We do not offer on-site reheating facilities.

Unfortunately not, we do not allow you to bring in your own drink, you must use our bar unless you are having a DIY function and you supply everything yourself (i.e. venue hire only).

Unfortunately not.
Confetti balloons, confetti cannons or party poppers are not allowed.

Table confetti / sprinkles for decoration are allowed on your tables.

Flamed candles for decorative purposes are not permitted.
You can of course have normal cake candles on a birthday cake but not sparkling candles or fountain candles.

We have two smoking areas but they are designated to certain suites.

Hirers and guests of functions in the Grand Quee Suite can use the garden area.

Hirers of the Quee Suite and Martin Grove Suite can use the area outside of the main entrance.

Please ensure that you/your guests do not smoke inside the building, outside any fire exits or any exits leading off of the rooms.

Your deposit is only returned if you are having an evening only function on Fridays (not applicable for Weddings).
Additionally, your deposit will only be returned if your bar spend exceeds the minimum spend and no damage has been caused during your event.

Deposits are usually returned in cheque form a few weeks after your function/event.

Children’s Birthday Parties

Sadly not. Unfortunately we do not allow external suppliers of inflatables or soft play.

Yes, we offer the children a choice of orange squash, blackcurrant squash and also still water.
Drinks are supplied in jugs that our staff will serve to the children, these jugs will be topped up when required.
Plastic disposable cups are provided.
We cannot guarantee that the drinks are “free from”, if you wish to supply your own squash or juice then please let your party organiser know when booking.

We often have parties quite close together so unfortunately there is only around 15 minutes before the start time of your party available for setup / decoration.
You will have around 15 minutes after the party to clear up any of the setup/decoration you have provided.
If you wish to use this time you must notify us before hand.

We do not supply birthday cakes, party bags or invites.
We will be happy to setup your birthday cake and present it to the birthday child, our team will then take the cake away and cut and wrap it for you if required.

Yes, we offer food and drinks for adults as an extra.

We can offer a self serve tea and coffee station and a sandwich platter with a variety of fillings.

In our reception area there are also a range of vending machines containing both food and drink items.

The deposit to secure a children’s party is £50 and payable upon booking. Your booking will not be placed into our system until a deposit has been paid. You must have also completed a children’s party booking form.

The final balance of your children’s party is due 14 days before the date of the party.

We would also like to know your final number and food options at the time that your balance becomes due (14 days before the date of the party).

We have 3 options Children’s party food:
– Hot
– Cold
– Bring your own

Hot Food A choice of Burger, Hot Dog, Chicken Nuggets, Pizza (Cheese and Tomato) or Fish Fingers, all served with chips.

Cold Food –  A finger buffet of cold food containing a variety of sandwiches, cakes, biscuits, cut vegetables and crisps.

Bring your own – You can supply your own food. You must pay a £20 catering waiver to supply your own food. You cannot prepare any food on site but it can be stored from the morning of your party.

Yes, you can.

However Piñatas cannot be suspended from our ceilings, it must be floor mounted or held by an adult attending the party, unfortunately our team cannot hold the Piñata for you.

Centre

Our opening hours can be found at the very bottom of our website on each page and also on our contact us page. Please check there for further information.

Yes, there is no charge to park in our car park. You also do not need to give us your vehicle registration when parking.

All customers should be aware that all vehicles and contents are left at the owners own risk.

Customer car parking is available during our opening hours, we kindly ask customers not to leave their vehicles on-site for multiple days although we understand you may need to leave a vehicle overnight for functions or events.

Vehicles left for multiple days will be recovered at the owners cost.

Unfortunately we do not have a swimming pool at the centre.
